That'll Be The Day Cast
Brian Wright
Truck Driver

Brian drove a bus in Birmingham and was coming to the end of his working career.

He went on a weekend break to Butlins in Minehead with his wife Joan. That’ll Be The Day were performing each week there at ‘Barnums.’

Brian later booked the show into the Midlands area when most of the work was still in the clubs.

He became friends with everyone and when a driver couldn’t make a show in 2003 he stepped in and helped out. Five years on he’s still helping!

Hi Ho Hi Ho it's back to work we go. really looking forward to the spring tour and to think it's been over two months since we last performed it. The Christmas show was a great success and the response was brilliant. So many highlights of that season, including a huge B.I.C. and Stoke,a new venue for the Christmas show. Everyone's spent their 'hols' in different ways, some going away and others preferring to stay at home. Jules is back from Oz and will return straight away after a wonderful trip. Matt Thomas has departed to return to his former job but will still help us out now and again and we wish him the best. Our new monitor engineer is called 'Ash' and comes from Tewksbury and is looking forward to working with the show. So ,first gig is at Crawley and off we go.
